I did a post with pictures. I saw them with my own eyes and in my practice blog. Then they were gone, just the boxes with the red cross.

I'm sorry Jenny- That's happened to me sometimes and it is very frustrating. Try again and maybe they'll stay- I know you've done it before, so with a little time for fiddling with them,maybe you can get it. God Bless~ Carolyn

If you don't save them properly to your tags or pictures file so that you can access them again when you need them, then they wont appear on your journal. If you snag a photo or tag straight from someone else's journal etc then when they delete them they will disappear from yours too.
Just copying them from an e-mail will not work either as you will end up with the little red cross inside the box as you describe.
Animated tags must be saved as a Gif file for the animation to appear when next you use it.
You are lucky to have so many interested in your mum's house who have no chain. Hope life doesn't become too complicated regarding your buyers.
