The Big Crunch!!!

We were told in the west that now we have science we no longer need God and anyway we know how it all began.... The Big Bang!

Only one problem, people were asking, 'but what came before the Big Bang'.  First of all the scientists said, 'well, nothing', but it became obvious that that answer wouldn't do.

But now they think they have the answer...  The Big Crunch.  Yes, that's right, the Big Crunch.  Remember what we was taught, that 'nothing made everything for no reason', with one Big Bang all time and space was created.  Well now they say that our universe was created from the shattered remains of an older universe.

We are told that the previous universe was similar to ours but collapsed in on itself and they named this The Big Crunch.  This new theory is called 'The Big Bounce'.

This has all come about it seems because mathematicians have been unable to show how a universe was created from nothing, but a team from the US believes it has solved part of the puzzle.  Researchers we are told have created a mathematical model using a new theory called Loop Quantum Gravity.  The theory is supposed to combine Einstein's Theory of General Relativity with new ideas about quantum physics, but we are told it is almost impossible to understand without a crash course in advanced physics.

We say 'science has prooved', right until the next theory comes along.  Now don't get me wrong, science and scientists have done wonders for our world and health.  It also has to be said that it has done a lot of harm in the wrong hands.  But some science is not absolute.  It is only good till the next 'breakthrough' comes along.

Now this new theory may be true but forgive me for mentioning it, but what was there then before The Big Bounce, or are we still to believe, 'that nothing made everything for no reason'.

As soon as they manage to solve the problem of taking the square root of a negative number, that's when they'll have a solution to that question.

My grand'ma' always said - 'Ours is not to reason why, only but to do or die' .  I think she had a very good thought there.  I'll never question the Word of God for sure.  'On Ya' - ma

One of Eisteins theories were rejected by the scientific minds.  I wish I could recall the name of it.  He was always dejected about it.  Involved something about everything is coming together in the universe, not going apart.  I saw in the past six months an article saying his theory was proved.  That it changes all the premise they have held in this Godless creation.  Einstein knew the Creator.  He didn't leave him out of his equations.  I think it would make him sick if once again they were using something of his to try to wipe God out of the picture.  -  BArbara

Oh Jenny!  You picked a good one~  I have to admit, I've not heard these new "theories"  but I'm sure new text books will be printing these theories as fact in time for next public school year (and people think I'm nuts for homeschooling!)  I agree completely that science is very helpful and new discoveries are often exciting when they are proven and not dangerous.  As far as creation vs evolution and the big bang~ I'm not one for physics and all that, my mind doesn't do well with all things relating to numbers and formulas.  All I can say as an artist- NOT once in my whole time of painting have I ever had tubes of paint banging, crunching or bouncing themselves onto a blank canvas to make a picture.  I am required to mix the colors, then apply them in certain areas to "create" a landscape.  As far as I know, no watches, TV sets, stereos, i pods or phones have created themselves from scratch either!  Thoroughly enjoyed this!  Thank you Jenny!  God Bless you! Carolyn :)
