My old oak tree

Squirrel was slowly walking along a branch of my oak tree trying to keep as flat to the branch as only a squirrel can.  At the other end of the branch sat Maggie, watching, waiting.  Three quarters of the way along squirrel ran at Maggie as fast as he could, making Maggie fly, but only with an air of 'couldn't care less' two branches higher.  Squirrel thinking he had shown who was boss turned and slowly walked back down the branch head held high.

I would have loved to have been there to watch it with you .Those Maggies don't move far usually from there birthplace so it is said. If they know there is something about and there must have been, maybe squirrel was about to get it till Maggie came along....... I hope Maggies mate was about Jenny .I don't like to see Magpies and crows  alone.
Re:- the old nursery rhyme.
Am I supersticious or what.

One for sorrow, two for joy;
Three for a girl, four for a boy;
Five for silver, six for gold;
Seven for a secret, never to be told;
Eight for a wish, nine for a kiss;
Ten for a bird that's best to miss.

You have left me wondering now what happened next LOL.Have a lovely weekend Take Care God Bless .Kath
